HOW TO ACHIEVE THE LOOK
Wash and condition hair.
Towel-dry hair until damp and scrunch with a towel to help prevent damage and split ends.
Cover a medium-sized skeleton brush in a volumizing mousse and work it through your hair from root to tip. Blow-dry hair upside down with the skeleton brush until hair is completely dry.
With a steel comb, use the pick end to create a side part. Once the part is created, gather the top layer of your hair and clip it up to keep it out of the way as your curl your hair. Take 1-inch sections of the bottom layer of your hair, starting with the right side of the head and moving toward the left. For each section, placing the tips of the hair over the barrel of the iron, curl upward, rolling to the scalp. Hold the hair in the curling iron for 8-10 seconds. Repeat with all bottom hair sections, then, taking the top layer of hair out of clip, repeat with the top layer of hair.
Once all hair has been curled, use your fingers to separate the sections from root to tip. Be gentle and don't scrunch since you're trying to make waves, not curls.
To add shine to this trendy hairstyle, spray hair with a lightweight shine spray; rub your hands through your hair from root to tip to work the shine spray thoroughly through your hair.
